Voss Freeride

The competition will be at Brekkenipa.

Vinterveko Voss Freeride is from the 15th - 18th of March 2012.

Participants!
Wednesday 14th at 19:30, Riders meeting at Fleischer´s Hotel
Thursday 15th at 09:00 sharp, bus leaves from Fleischer´s Hotel

Voss and the surroundings offer a great variety of skiing/boarding terrain. The mountains are diverse with big open faces, short steep pitches with fun cliffs, or challenging tree skiing. In the winter there are many options for day ski touring and fun accessible peaks.

Voss Freeride is once again hosting the event as a part of the Norway Freeride Cup. This time the popular Norwegian Freeride Cup (NFC) is hosted in six destinations. The following destinations will host Freeride competitions this year; Sogndal, Voss, Hemsedal, Lofoten, Ørsta and Røldal. For more information about NFC click here.

Exact location for this year's competition will be chosen according to snow conditions and safety restrictions. Information about the qualification and final arenas will be given on the riders' meeting on Wednesday and Thursday evening.

1st: Åsnes Bratt Skis
2nd: 1500 NOK
3rd: 1000 NOK

Snowboard men:
1st: 4000 NOK
2nd: 2000 NOK
3rd: 1000 NOK

Snowboard women:
1st: 1000 NOK
2nd: 500 NOK
3rd: Åsnes Fleece Jacket

You may compete in other competitions (Myrkdalen OppNed/Backcountry Jam) on Saturday at Vinterveko as well. Remember, you must register for these competitions, but there is no extra cost.
