During spring 2009, 4 Scandinavian girls, alias the Baffin Babes, covered a distance of 1200 kilometers on skis. The destination was the untouched wilderness of the spectacular Baffin Island, which is located in the Canadian Arctic. The girls lived in a tent together for 80 days, with polar bears as their closest neighbour. With enthusiasm, spectacular photos and outstanding videos, Kristin Folsland Olsen and Emma Simonsson will share their memories and challenges from their adventure with us. Aerobics in the snow, swimming among seals, camping on an iceberg, pulling 120 kg sledges and crossing dangerous ice cracks are some of the many highlights of their journey.
